Support My Fundraiser About the 2020 Spring Derby

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a jockey. I watched the Kentucky Derby every year and having a May birthday, hoped to celebrate my birthday there one year. Today, as a member of The ACTEC Foundation's Executive Committee, my dream comes true (sort of) as a virtual jockey while I "ride" OverWillms'd in the first Annual ACTEC Foundation Spring Derby!

 

Funds raised through the Derby will help The ACTEC Foundation support scholarship and education in trust and estate law. To name a few of its initiatives, the Foundation:

  • supports and encourages law students and new lawyers in the trust and estate field through The Mary Moers Wenig Student Writing Competition and the Dennis I. Belcher Young Leaders Program;
  • provides resources to families and professionals through the ACTEC Family Estate Planning Guide videos, the ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcasts, and publication of The ACTEC Commentaries on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct; and
  • supports charitable and educational outreach measures such as estate planning clinics at the University of Wyoming and the University of Oregon.
